Cost of college went up for all students at the SAE Institute of Technology-Nashville

Tuition and fees rose 25.4 percent for 2018-19 at the SAE Institute of Technology-Nashville, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Tennessee students paid $31,415 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year – $6,354 more than the $25,061 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 46 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 25 students received grants or scholarships totaling $112,136 and 25 students took out student loans totaling more than $304,502.

Including all undergraduates (197), 123 students used grants or scholarships totaling $987,345, and 134 students took out $1.5 million in federal student loans.
