Cost of college went up for all students at John A Gupton College

Tuition and fees rose 0.8 percent for 2018-19 at John A Gupton College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Tennessee students paid $11,158 to attend the two-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $88 more than the $11,070 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 9 students received grants or scholarships totaling $35,433 and 4 students took out student loans totaling more than $8,013.

Including all undergraduates (168), 74 students used grants or scholarships totaling $397,643, and 74 students took out $384,518 in federal student loans.
