A citizen’s tip and coordinated police work led to Thursday night’s arrest of a third suspect in the February 16, 2022 fatal shooting of Ameer Ledall Green, 52, at 3710 N. Natchez Court. The tipster called the MNPD Warrants Division to report that they had seen Jamion Wynn at the 3710 N. Natchez Court residence where Green was shot. Wynn had been on the Warrants Division’s Most Wanted list. Violent Crimes detectives took Wynn into custody at the residence. South, Midtown, and North Precinct officers/detectives assisted in Wynn’s apprehension.

A money dispute between Green and the three suspects is believed to have been the motive for the shooting. This investigation was led by Sergeant Trevor VonDohlen.

The other two men who are already charged with Green’s murder are Kevin Bwenge, 24, and William Churchwell, 32. At the time he was charged with Wynn’s murder, Churchwell was already jailed and charged with last year’s murder of Charley Marie Koole, 40. Koole was found dead inside of a car at 500 Paragon Mills Road on February 22, 2022. It is believed that she was killed and left inside the car more than month earlier, on January 15.

Since the Warrants Division began their most wanted list in mid-October 2022, a total of 48 persons have been arrested. So far this year, 36 individuals have been arrested.
