A man has died following Saturday’s 5 a.m. single-vehicle crash on I-40 East just before the I-24 split. The preliminary investigation indicates a Mitsubishi Galant, for reasons unknown, left the roadway at struck a rock wall.
The driver was transported to TriStar Centennial Medical Center where he died.
The Medical Examiner is working to positively identify the victim.
