NASHVILLE, TN—United States Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) has announced a series of staff changes and promotions in his offices in Washington, D.C. and Tennessee. Senator Hagerty expressed his satisfaction with the new additions and recognized the hard work and dedication of his existing staff.
Among the promotions, Watson Dill has been appointed as a Legislative Aide, focusing on healthcare, education, labor, pensions, and veteran affairs. Dill, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, previously served as a Legislative Correspondent in Hagerty's office. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Villanova University.
Steven Haines has taken on the role of a Brookings LEGIS Fellow. Haines, who hails from Franklin, Tennessee, brings his experience as a Foreign Affairs Officer from the Department of State, where he worked extensively on China-related matters. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a graduate degree from The George Washington University.
Luke Harris has been named Legislative Aide, responsible for agriculture, energy, and transportation matters. Harris is a proud alumnus of Middle Tennessee State University, holding both a bachelor's and master's degree.
Michael Manucy has been appointed as a Legislative Aide. He previously served as a Legislative Correspondent for Senator Hagerty and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
Ryleigh Rains has assumed the role of Bicameral Coordinator in Senator Hagerty's Washington, D.C. office. Rains, who previously served as a Legislative Correspondent, brings her expertise to this new position. She holds a B.A. in Economics and a Master of Public Service and Administration from Texas A&M University.
Daniel Tirosh has taken on the role of National Security Counsel. Tirosh, a former Research Analyst, holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and is a graduate of Stanford Law School.
In addition to the promotions, Senator Hagerty has welcomed new staff members to his team. Christy Charbonnet has joined as a Staff Assistant in Senator Hagerty's Washington, D.C. office. She recently graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering.
John DiGravio has been appointed as a Legislative Aide, focusing on the Banking Committee portfolio. DiGravio previously served as Press Assistant and Policy Aide to the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College and is originally from Austin, Texas.
Emily McCaul has taken on the role of Field Representative for Senator Hagerty in the Knoxville region. McCaul had previously interned in Hagerty's Knoxville office in the summer of 2021 and is a recent graduate of Clemson University, where she earned a degree in Political Science.
Jill McElroy has been appointed as the Special Projects Coordinator in Senator Hagerty's Nashville office. McElroy, a native of Bristol, Tennessee, holds a degree in Public Relations from Carson-Newman University.
Finally, Daniel Zimmerman has joined Senator Hagerty's team as an intelligence fellow. Zimmerman brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in U.S. national security issues, with a focus on energy security, trade, and cyber threats in East Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
